Heart & Treasure

Money Tools

Every calculator from the program, in one place. Nothing you type here ever leaves your device.

Start here

Six tools. You can use one and ignore the rest, or work through them in order. They talk to each other, so a number you enter once shows up everywhere it belongs.

How this works

  1. You only type in the blue boxes. Everything else fills itself in.
  2. Your numbers are saved in this browser, on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere, nobody sees them, and there is no account to make.
  3. These are estimates to guide you. They are not promises, and they are not personalized financial advice.

The tools

Your numbers

Everything lives in this browser only. Clearing your browser data, or opening these tools on a different device, starts you over. If you want a copy you can keep, use Print on the Kingdom Plan tab and save it as a PDF.

Week 5

My Simply Seven Plan

Where every dollar goes each month. Give goes first, which is the whole theology in one row.

CategoryTypical for my trackMy %Each month
Total0%$0
Start by typing your take home pay in the blue box above.

When money runs short, fund in this order

  1. Give, your first fruits amount
  2. The essentials: housing, utilities, food, transportation
  3. Minimum payments on every debt
  4. Savings, the starter emergency fund
  5. Extra to your first target debt
  6. Discretionary, with whatever remains, guilt free

Week 5

The ten minute week

Once a week: empty the envelopes, add up each category, type the totals. That is the whole system.

CategoryMy planWk 1Wk 2Wk 3Wk 4Wk 5SpentLeftHow am I doing?
Build your plan first and these rows fill themselves in.

Week 4

My Freedom Number

List every debt except a mortgage that is serving you. This number is the name of an enemy. It is not your name.

My Freedom Number

Everything you marked as a Master, added up.

Minimum payments on Master debts each month
Blended interest rate
Months until I am free (estimate)
My debt free date (estimate)
Fight order is triage, then momentum. Predatory debts first, then smallest to largest. Kill number one first.
The estimate assumes you take on no new debt, and that each dead debt's payment rolls into the next one.

Week 6

My wall

The emergency fund is not a reward for getting stable. It is the tool that creates stability.

My target — this is what full means

Choose your track to see what full means for you.

Not started yet.

Still to build
Months until the wall is full
The wall is full on (estimate)
Remember what counts as an emergency: unexpected, necessary, and now. A sale is not an emergency. Christmas is not an emergency. It comes every year, with carols.

Week 8

The boring miracle

Time, not brilliance, grows money. Everything below is an estimate. Not a promise, and not personalized advice.

Part one — the free money check

Free money I am capturing each year
Free money I am leaving on the table each year
Fill in the three boxes above to see whether you are leaving money behind.

Part two — the planting math

In 10 years this becomes about
In 20 years
In 30 years
In 40 years

Part three — the cost of waiting

Start now, plant for 30 years
Wait 10 years, plant for 20

What a ten year wait costs

Same monthly amount. Same rate. Only the start date moved.

Chapter 9

My Kingdom Financial Plan

The whole journey, gathered onto one page. The numbers flow in from the other tabs.

Where I stand

My monthly giving, first fruits, church first
My giving percentage
My Freedom Number, the enslaving debt to kill
My debt free date (estimate)
My wall, the emergency fund target
The wall is full on (estimate)
I plant this much for the future each month

My 90 day next steps

Specific enough that a friend could check them.

My one year vision

Dated one year from today. Write it in the present tense, as though it has already happened.

My Kingdom legacy statement

One paragraph. One breath. Read it aloud to witnesses.
